Creation

Everything has an origin. Just like these letters, words, language, culture, universe. All of it begins somewhere. This blog page began last year for me. November more specifically. I was sitting in a classroom in Kansas City, Missouri; my home. Now I am in my dorm room in Louisville, Kentucky; just above the classroom I was handed the assignment from. Today, just like my location has changed my blog page has changed. I picked a new user name from my previous, TK Lemon'Onion, to a more formal Tristen Kaylee. After this I picked a new ULR address, tkaylee13.blogspot.com, following that was the more difficult step; choosing a background.
When given the choice to a background the web page becomes more than this virtual and standard issued electronic space that you have to 'write on'. It in fact becomes this area to express yourself in ways other than just words. Research has shown that art was the medium to language in our species: So it is no wonder I spent 3 minutes picking out a background page. This artistic desire is ingrained in us, this is why I wanted to pick a background that meant something to me and showed my taste in style. I chose the one I have because I liked the scheme but there were a few others I liked too for this reason. MY next questions were; what means more? Would someone I held dear like it? Do any remind me of past memories? That last one there: That was the final piece to this puzzle. This background is the one from my AP Lit teachers blog page that we would comment on for points (etc.). It reminded me of all my old friends, all the laughs, all the times I spent at home on the computer trying to write while my little sisters ran around the house yelling.
The most important experience I have gained from creating this blog is that I have reminisced about life. Lately I have avoided thinking of how I could be apart of my family's life instead of being in college writing this blog. Now I realize that with every creation is an origin but there is also a destination.
